Types of companies
There are two basic types of companies in the Czech Republic; personal and capital companies:

1. The two kinds of personal companies are:
- public company („v.o.s.“)
- limited partnership („k.s.“)
Personal types of companies are seldom used for standard business, especially given the fact that the members of „v.o.s.“ and some members of „k.s.“ they are responsible for the company's obligations with all their personal property; also in the event of death of one of the companions, the company is usually dissolved. One of the undisputed advantages of this type of company is the fact that members of „v.o.s.“ some of the members of „k.s.“ are not obliged to pay initial contribution fee to set up the company.
